Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

A delicious take on the classic banana bread recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 very ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 & 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar.
  3. In a seperate bowl, mash the 3 ripe banans and set aside.
  4. Mix the eggs into the butter/sugar mixture, then stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla.
  5. Fold in the baking sode until fully combined.
  6. Fold the flour in one half cup at a time, followed by the chocolate chips
  7. Spray a square loaf pan with cooking spray, and add two layers of parchment paper in alternating directions.
  8. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.

  9. Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  10. Let the loaf cool for 15+ minutes before slicing and serving.
